Coconut apple squares

� | cup | Brown sugar |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
1 � | cup | Sifted flour |
� | teaspoon | Salt |
1 ⅓ | cup | Flaked coconut |
21 | ounce | Apple Pie filling |
1 | tablespoon | Lemon juice |
� | teaspoon | Cinnamon |
� | teaspoon | Mace |
Beat softened butter, sugar, and vanilla. Sift flour and salt together and stir into creamed mixture. Add coconut; mix well. Put/pat half in a greased 8 x 8 x 2 pan. Combine remaining ingredients; spoon over coconut in pan. Top with remaining coconut mixture, pat lightly. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
